Grenaldo Frazier Trailblazer Award at NCBFF

16th Annual North Carolina Black Film Festival recently honored Matthew Head with the Grenaldo Frazier Trailblazer Award. Grenaldo Frazier was a well-renowned actor, pianist, and composer. Known for his work in theater, Frazier was very impactful in the African American culture. His credentials include composing the music for Time Magazine’s top 10 musicals, Mama I Want To Sing and Moms Mabley at the Astor Place Theatre. Grenaldo Frazier unexpectedly passed away in 2018. In his memory, NCBFF honored Matthew Head with this award. Matthew is the first recipient of this award.
